Geotechnical laboratory

Laboratory studies of soils are an important link in the chain of geological engineering surveys. The quality of the final result of all projects largely depends on the completeness and quality of laboratory tests.

Our laboratory is equipped with modern devices for laboratory tests. This allows us not only to perform laboratory tests according to domestic standards but also use various methods to perform tests according to international standards (ISO, ASTM, BS, EN, DIN).

Our laboratory carries out a complex of surveys, which completely satisfies requirements of regulatory documents, in the field of industrial and civil construction; this includes:

– determination of physical properties of soil;

– compression tests of soil;

– single-plane cut soil testing;

– analysis of water extract from the soil;

– chemical analysis of groundwater;

– particle size analysis of soils;

– special studies of soils in difficult geological engineering conditions;

– strength and deformation tests of soils in the device of three-axis compression (ASTM D2850, D4767, D7181; AASHTO T-297; BS 1377-7, BS 1377-8);

– limits of plasticity of clay soils according to the Attenberg method (CEN ISO / TS 17892-12; BS 1377: 2);

– determination of maximum density and optimum humidity using standard and modified Proctor method (ASTM D558, D559, D560, D698, D1557; BS EN 13286-2);

– determination of soil bearing capacity, CBR test (California bearing ratio) (ASTM D 1883, D 1557, D 698; BS 1377-4, BS EN 13286-47);

– particle size analysis by sieve method and hydrometer method (ASTM C136, D422, E11; AASHTO T88).
